Status: In a foster home until a suitable adopter is found for her.

Vaccinated: YES

Spayed: No, will be spayed right after heat 

Microchipped: No, will be chipped during spay 

Other: Neurological damage in her front leg, but she still manages to get around with no issue 

 -wears a split and or sock for longer walks, but ok to go out in the yard without them.

She’s got muscle back in her shoulder and she’s using her leg for balance and stepping on it about every 3rd to 4th step when she has the brace on. 

Temperament: Friendly, excitable, cuddly, playful, medium energy

Good with strangers? Yes

Good with kids? No, she can get excited around kids, jump, chase and that could them. 

Good with dogs? No, she tends to scare them  

Good with cats?  Yes 

TRAINING:

Knows any commands? YES (sits,shakes paw, waits for food, fairly consistent recall).

Potty trained? Yes, outside. No accidents when left inside for a whole work day.  

Walks on a leash? Yes -walks about 15-20 minutes maximum but only needs about 10 minutes due to her leg. 

Crate trained? Unknown 

Where does she prefer to sleep?  likes to sleep in your bed but very obedient when told to get down and sleep on her bed in the same room. 

Needs: An experienced and confident person who can give her the time and space to get used to her new home and people. Someone who can work with her on boundaries, take her out for potty breaks, short walks, get her more used to other dogs and to kids. Would be ideal for her to be in a home with no other pets or young children. 

Likes: Affection, human attention, playing with toys and balls and food (very food motivated) 

Story: Pretzel was found in the street after she was hit by a car. She was picked up by a kind man who took her to the clinic and surrendered her to us. She received medical treatment and care and is now in a stable condition with still no mobility in her leg but she has gotten much more comfortable with it. She now just needs a suitable foster /forever home.
