Medical History: Vaccinated. Neutered and Microchipped. He does have an issue with one of his eyes and seems he can not see very well with it (needs to be cleaned daily). 

Status: In a foster home until a good permanent home is found for him

PERSONALITY: 

Temperament: Shy, sweet, medium to high energy

Good with strangers? Yes, but can take a bit of time to feel comfortable around them 

Good with kids? Yes, but can take a bit of time to feel comfortable around them 

Good with dogs? YES

Good with Cats? YES

TRAINING:

Knows commands? Unknown - needs more training 

Potty-Trained?  Yes, on a pad and outside. 

Crate Trained? Yes, sleeps in the crate and regards it as his safe space 

Walks on a leash? Currently under training 

Loves: the company of other dogs and receiving affection from humans. 

Needs: He needs a patient and dedicated adopter who can give him the time and space he needs to settle into his new home with his new people. Someone who can continue with his training on basic commands, socialize him and give him the care he needs. Someone who can clean his eye. Would be ideal for him to be in home with other dogs as he really feels more comfortable around them.   

Story: Checo was in the street, scared and hungry. Thank God, he was found by caring people who gave him food and contacted OPJ right away. He then came into our care. Sadly, his owners were never found. Now Checo is a new dog that is just waiting for the right foster/forever home.
