Status: Currently in the OPJ shelter- Needs a foster home

Temperament: Friendly, Playful, medium energy

Good with strangers? Yes

Good with kids? Yes 

Good with dogs? Yes

Good with Cats? No: tends to chase them 

TRAINING:  

Knows commands? YES (sit, shake) - very trainable and has high food drive (He's probably the most trained and well-behaved dog at the shelter! - truly a people pleaser).

Potty-Trained? YES, outside, but will need reinforcement in a home (currently he always leaves his room in the shelter clean except from some fur)

Crate Trained? He is familiar as he used to be crated in his previous home. 

Walks on a leash? Yes, but be ware of cats 

Loves: Running, Exploring, receiving affection, food and going for walks. 

Needs: An experienced confident, strong adopter who can set clear boundaries, exercise him daily, and provide mental and physical stimulation. Ace would make an excellent companion for the right person. Ideal for someone living in a villa but could live in an apartment with an active person. 

Story: His previous owner could no longer care for him and so he had to leave him with a neighbour for "a few days" which soon became longer with no indication his owner would ever return. Some friends were concerned about the dogs wellbeing as he was being kept outside in the heat and would often run out into the street and chase the cats so they contacted OPJ to take him. Ace was then taken to the vet to get neutered and is now in the OPJ shelter waiting for the right adopter/foster.
