Temperament: Friendly, Playful, high energy

Good with strangers? Yes, loves meeting new people and very loyal to the people he knows

Good with kids? YES, but he's a big energetic boy so might be a bit rough for smaller children (in that he might knock them over)

Good with dogs? YES, very good with large breeds dogs, might need more exposure with small dogs 

Good with Cats? NO, tends to chase them 

TRAINING: 

Knows commands? YES (come, sit, shake) but needs reinforcement. 

Potty-Trained? YES, outside, but will need reinforcement in a home

Walks on a leash? Yes, but needs reinforcement. 

Loves: Water, playing with other dogs and going for walks, being with his person and receiving affection from them 

Needs: An experienced, confident, strong adopter who can exercise him well, set clear boundaries, continue to reinforce basic commands,walking on a leash and potty training in the new home.

Story: Klaus was found in the street in a bad condition. He was skinny, dirty, and hungry. He ran right up to the woman who found him and greeted her like she was his hero. Klaus was then surrendered to OPJ and got the medical treatment he needed. Now, Klaus doesn't ever have to worry about where his next meal will come from. He's a happy dog, who is currently in DJ kennels doing great with other dogs and friendly to everyone he meets, just waiting for that right family who is willing to take a chance on him and see just what a great, goofy, loyal dog he is. His owners were never found.
